Other Interests

I have always had the problem of getting too easily interested in too many things. Life is definitely too short to pursue them all. For much of my youth, my major interests were certainly chess, golf, and music. Music of course is my profession and rightly takes up the bulk of this website.

Some of my past (and perhaps future?) academic interests have included Classical languages, mathematics, and computer science, and I also enjoy a game of tennis when I can fit it in.

Chess and golf have become occasional hobbies and the ancient Asian strategy game of go has also competed for my attention. Please explore these further in the pages below.
